Product Introduction
The Touchscreen compression tester operates on the principle of electronic force measurement and mechanical loading. The lower platen moves upward at a constant speed, applying a compressive load to the specimen, while a high-precision load cell captures the force signal in real time. The touchscreen displays and records the force-displacement data. Multiple fixtures can be changed to accommodate RCT, ECT, PAT, and FCT tests. The worm gear reducer and dual linear bearing guidance system ensure smooth loading and precise platen parallelism, delivering accurate and reliable results. The intelligent control system provides data storage, statistical analysis, and report printing for intuitive and efficient operation.

FAQ
1. What specific tests can the instrument perform?
It can perform Ring Crush Test (RCT) on paper and paperboard, Edge Crush Test (ECT) on corrugated board, Pin Adhesion Test (PAT), Flat Crush Test (FCT), and compression tests on paper bowls and paper tubes, in accordance with corresponding national standards.
2. How do I change fixtures for different tests?
The platen diameter is 135 mm. Depending on the test, different fixtures such as ring crush holders, edge crush guides, or pin adhesion grips can be installed. Fixture changeover is simple, usually secured by locating pins or screws. Detailed instructions are provided in the user manual and during our operation training.
3. Is the test speed adjustable? What is the standard required speed?
The test speed is 12.5±2.5 mm/min, which meets the loading rate requirements specified in the relevant national standards. This speed is not user-adjustable to ensure standardized and comparable test results.
4. How much data can be stored? How can data be exported?
The instrument can store data from multiple test specimens and calculate statistical values for the same group. Data can be viewed on the LCD screen and printed directly. For additional data export requirements, please contact our technical team.

5. What if the 70 mm platen distance is insufficient for my specimens?
The standard platen distance is 0-70 mm, suitable for most conventional specimens. For larger spacing requirements, we offer customization services. Please specify your special size requirements when ordering.
6. How is force calibration performed?
The instrument is factory calibrated and comes with a calibration certificate. Routine verification can be performed using standard weights. If a deviation beyond the tolerance is detected, contact our after-sales service for recalibration or remote guidance.

The compressive strength of paper and paperboard is a critical property for evaluating the load-bearing capacity and protective performance of packaging materials. It directly affects the stacking strength and product safety of corrugated boxes and cartons during transport and storage. Ring Crush Test (RCT) measures the resistance of paper or paperboard formed into a ring under compression, serving as a fundamental parameter for assessing paperboard stiffness and box compression strength. Edge Crush Test (ECT) directly measures the ability of corrugated board to withstand forces perpendicular to its plane and is a core design parameter for corrugated boxes. Pin Adhesion Test (PAT) and Flat Crush Test (FCT) evaluate the bonding quality between liner and medium and the load-bearing capacity of corrugated board under flat compression, respectively. compression testers provide a standardized and comparable testing method for these critical properties through controlled loading and precise force measurement. Modern intelligent compression testers integrate precision mechanics, electronic force measurement, and data processing systems, significantly enhancing testing efficiency and data reliability. They are indispensable standardized instruments in paper packaging quality control, commercial inspection, and research and development.
