Product Introduction
The Digital air permeance tester is a fully automatic multi-function instrument for testing air permeance of paper and paperboard. Through modular design, it conforms to multiple standards and test methods including Schober, Gurley, and Bendtsen methods. Different ranges and test areas can be selected, with automatic reading and calculation of air permeance. Test principle: the instrument automatically adjusts to the set pressure differential, and once stable, automatically reads the gas flow rate. Applicable standards: QB/T 1667-98, GB/T 458-2008, ISO 5636-2:1984, ISO 5636-5:2003, ISO 5636-3:1992.

FAQ
1. No display / screen off
Power not connected, blown fuse, or loose power cord. Check 220V supply; replace fuse with same rating; plug power cord securely.
2. Touchscreen unresponsive / buttons not working
Touchscreen calibration offset, system lag, or loose interface. Restart instrument; recalibrate touchscreen; check communication cable plugs.
3. "Leakage / poor sealing" error
Paper dust on upper/lower clamps, aged gasket, or sample not clamped properly. Clean clamp table; replace aged gasket; lay sample flat and clamp firmly.
4. Test results too high (air permeance too large)
Clamp leakage, sample has holes/wrinkles, or unstable pressure differential. Perform seal test; replace with intact sample; recalibrate pressure differential.
5. Test results too low (air permeance too small)
Test hole blocked, filter dirty/clogged, or sample clamped too tightly. Clear test hole of paper lint; replace filter; adjust clamping pressure.
6. Poor data repeatability, fluctuating values
Environmental temperature/humidity fluctuation, insufficient sample conditioning, or sensor drift. Control environment at 23°C±1°C, 50% RH; condition samples for 4 hours; periodically calibrate pressure and flow.
7. Clamp not moving / not clamping
Insufficient air pressure (pneumatic type requires 0.4-0.7 MPa), solenoid valve sticking, or air tube detached. Check air supply pressure; clean solenoid valve; plug air tube securely.
8. Test stops mid-way or reports error
Flow sensor fault, line blockage, or program error. Restart instrument; clear lines; restore factory settings or contact after-sales for calibration.
