The instrument uses the inclined plane rolling ball method, evaluating the initial tack of the specimen by the adhesion effect of the adhesive tape on a steel ball when brief contact occurs under slight pressure between the ball and the adhesive surface. The device mainly consists of an inclined plate, ball release device, support frame, adjustable leveling base, and standard steel balls. The adjustable inclination angle is 0-45°, the platform width is 120 mm, and the test area width is 80 mm. Standard steel balls range from 1/32 to 1 inch. Overall dimensions are 320×140×180 mm with a weight of 6 kg.
