A vertical force is applied at a certain speed to the opposite end of the plate. When the pressing head descends to a specified position, the maximum force value recorded by the force measuring device during the pressing process is taken as the plate stiffness. The instrument has a maximum measuring diameter of 300 mm, maximum support distance of 100 mm, maximum descent distance of 40 mm, displacement accuracy of 0.1 mm, force measuring range of 0-20 N, and force accuracy of 0.5% F.S.
