Product Introduction
The AT-QPH Automatic smoothness tester is an upgraded version of the AT-PH-1, newly designed and developed as an intelligent paper and paperboard smoothness testing instrument based on the internationally accepted Bekk smoothness tester working principle. The mechanical design eliminates the traditional manual lever and weight pressure application structure, instead using a pressure sensor to apply standard pressure, greatly reducing the instrument's size and weight while providing more accurate pressure. It is used for measuring the surface smoothness of paper and paperboard and is an ideal testing device for papermaking, packaging, printing, commodity inspection, and research departments. Applicable standards: GB/T 456, JJG 62, ISO 5627.

FAQ
1. No power, screen off
Power not connected, loose plug, blown fuse, or emergency stop not reset. Check 220V power supply; re-plug securely; replace fuse with same rating; release emergency stop and restart.
2. Self-test failure on startup
Air circuit not reset, cylinder stuck, or sensor fault. Power cycle, clean probe of debris, wait for device to auto-return and complete self-test.
3. Values too high/low or unstable
Uneven specimen placement, dirty/creased paper surface, seal leakage, insufficient vacuum oil, or draft in environment. Place specimen flat and centered; check upper/lower platen seals; replenish special vacuum oil; test away from air vents.
4. Large variation on same sample repeat tests
Paper dust on platen, aged seals, or unstable air supply pressure. Clean platen contact surfaces after each test; replace aged seals promptly; stabilize workshop air pressure.
5. Slow pumping, slow pressure build-up
Insufficient oil, air in oil circuit, or minor line leakage. Add special vacuum oil; open exhaust valve to expel air; tighten air line fittings.
6. Cannot reach set vacuum level
Poor sealing, degraded oil, or blocked air circuit. Replace aged rubber pads; change vacuum oil regularly; clear air circuit piping.
7. Platen lift jerky or not smooth
Dust/debris on guide rails or dry transmission. Power off and clean dust from guide rails; apply small amount of grease.
8. Touchscreen unresponsive or buttons not working
Dirty screen or system lag. Wipe screen with soft cloth; restart instrument.
9. Printer not printing or blank output
No thermal paper, paper loaded backwards, or dirty print head. Reload paper correctly; clean print head; enable auto-print function.
